Hi Sean.
Congratulations on going to Japan. I hope you have a great time.
I just returned to the States a few weeks ago after a year in Yokohama, and I miss it very much.
I noticed you have a lot of photos of the Bandobashi/Yokohamabashi area, where I lived for the past year. Are you living near there yourself, or just happened to be passing through that day?
Nostalgic as it is to see the Cosmo Clock (which was right outside my school), and other Yokohama scenes, Bandôbashi always felt sort of out of the way to me. You don’t go there unless you live there, or you’re just exploring out in no direction. So to see photos of my local Daimaru Peacock supermarket, my subway station, my MosBurger, was quite the surprise.
Hey,
Actually i do live right there. I suppose you were with interac/maxceed? I wonder if they had you in the same building i’m living in now. They’ve got three of us english teachers in the same building, so maybe it’s one they offer to teachers often. I know what you mean about it being out of the way, though. Most people have never even heard of it, so usually i just say i live near koganecho. of course that gets a pretty good reaction from most people, who think it’s all just brothels and homeless people.
Anyway, it’s cool to hear from you! Thanks for the comment
